High Silicon Cast Iron
HSCI are widely used in underground applications in both shallow and deep ground beds. HSCI has been used for cothodic protection for approximately 30 years and is ideal for most general applications in both fresh and sea water and buried groundbed as it is metallurgically dense and a uniform material throughout its length. It has a very low specific resistance and will usually consume evenly .the working current density should not exceed 50 A/m2 when the consumption rate will be about 0.5kg/A.year, but these figures will vary depending on the environment.
